Aah. The joys of having an extra fridge in winter months.
So..green peppers were on for $0.99/lb the other day and I decided to make stuffed peppers. I defrosted the meat and yesterday I got busy. I wrecked one of the peppers during the cleaning so I chopped it up and added it to the sauce. I also put some Italian sausage into the sauce, along with the usual cast of characters. :-)
Got them stuffed and into the casserole, covered with sauce and into the oven. Once they were done I let them cool off and then put the whole dish out onto the porch to cool off properly. This afternoon, I brought it back in and removed the solidified fat. Then, into containers and into the freezer. :-) I have 5 meals there. Yummm. If I didn't still have chicken that has to be finished tomorrow, I would have kept one of them out.

Oh...... Karen, my super Super, bought herself a complete set of True Clad (I think that's it and it's gorgeous) and asked me if I wanted her T-fal set. I've been having some difficulty with the stainless pots and pans I have so I jumped at the chance. I gave mine to Adi. :-) We had to put everything out onto the porch to let the stink of smoke dissipate. :-( I had to strip and put all my clothes into the hamper (covered by other stuff) and shower after I was in her place. :-( I didn't take the frying pan and one of the pots because they were worn through the Teflon in spots.
I'm bringing them back in slowly. :-)
And the best thing of all...... a have a bacon press and it's actually got the picture of the pig on it. *grin* I have no need for it, but I'm bloody well keeping it. It makes me smile. *grin*
