I got the June delivery from the food bank this afternoon.  I had been asked what I wanted to get in the *deposit*.  I said... no canned veggies, just fresh, please and thank you.  I got... one tiny broccoli which was rotten from the bottom and slimy green on the top.  It wasn't pretty.  It went for a long run in the garbage.
Plus... 3 tomatoes and one mango.  the rest was a can of baked beans with pork, 1 dozen eggs, can of salmon and one of tuna, a couple of small bags of rice and a box of penne pasta.  Oh.. 2 quarts of 2%milk.  Sigh.

Tomorrow, I'll see what the veggie store has to offer.  I still want to make the ratatouille, without the rats.  Sorry Ernie.  But, if you'd like, I'll make a batch for GNE WITH the rat and I'll bring it down to you.  I wouldn't want to disappoint you. *grin*

Lots of mail too.  I got the form telling me I am eligible for the medical coverage (I pay nothing for my meds, dental or eye exam and frames) for the next year.
Also, apparently my signature wasn't on the form for my Medicare card, so that goes in the mail tomorrow. 

And, I am now payed up (SCA) till May 2012.  So, I guess I'm sticking around for a bit longer.  Sorry. *grin*  I didn't pay for it.  There was a *deal* made. :-)  And that's all I'm sayin.

I need to cut back on the food again.  I'm back up to 170 and I'm not pleased.
