No...not me. *grin* I'm still older and unimproved. :-) However, TC, not to be outdone by it's owner, has also lost weight. And colour, actually, though I wouldn't mind fixing that. Red is a nice colour, don't you think? :-)
See...a friend of mine works for a company that makes these things..here in town. And, learning and seeing the problem, she decided to do something about it. She showed up today with a new type of walker. Very much like TC but much smaller (to Hawise's great pleasure) and.. it's white. Thus the red paint..sort of like a bit of BoB carryover. Therefore, if anybody knows of someone who needs, but could not otherwise afford a really nice LARGE walker, please let me know. Remember, this is for someone who needs, but can't afford it.
Now that I've bored everyone to death.... :-)
It's December and while the weather here hasn't yet decided what to preciptate on us, it's still a time to worry about ice and other lovelies on the roads. Especially after dark when the temperature drops..usually. It's also holiday time for many and that means parties and, while the same idiots are on the road as at other times, now they've probably got more than a few glasses of alcohol in their systems which, needless to say, does not do much to increase their wondrous mental processes.
And..there are events happening here in the East. Ealdormere is kinda quiet...what are you guys up to over there???? S**t..my protogee is finished term... oh dear... some people simply shouldn't be allowed to get bored.
So, what I'm getting at is that I expect each and every one of you to NOT be one of those idiots. Don't have any alcohol if you are driving. Do check your tires (have you switched yet)..TC-2 has his winter treads on. :-) Seriously. Make sure you have all the proper emergency stuff for you and your vehicle.
I just had an idea, guys. As most have you may have noticed..the weather patterns are changing. We in Montreal are getting less snow and more cold. You guys in the south are getting waaaay more snow than usual. And further south than is usual too, if I'm not mistaken. If you live in an area which doesn't usually have severe winters, it might be an idea to take a winter driving course. I did it and it's saved my life more than once.
Back to my nagging. I'm thinking of offering to teach it at a university level :-)
Please don't forget to properly restrain all inhabitants of the vehicle. Cockroaches may be excluded. Please. Oh..the cell phone... don't forget to leave it alone while driving unless it's handsfree. Though I must say I'm not too sure of the safety of talking on the phone while driving period.
I guess that's it. Oh... don't forget your meds. And most important.... have a great time wherever you go and whatever you do. Remember to thank the people who do stuff for you, no matter what it is. Makes it worthwhile. {:o)
Safe travels to all.
