I just couldn't manage to get up enough interest to prepare the tofurkey for today. Meh. I know there will be plenty for me to eat. :-)

That's what this weekend has been. I've already written about yesterday. today was just as fabulous.

I got picked up by Warren and Chelsea and Ronin and finally got the brisket out of my fridge and temptation. Off we went to Stryker's for my annual Chanismyule party. It's something I started doing about 10 years ago, I think. for people who didn't have any family or place to go on Christmas. then it turned into the Chanismyule gathering which can no longer be held here as it's gotten way too big. So Stryker held it this year. there were many people and almost as many guitars and drums of all types. Food was terrific and Stryker gave me some of their mac and cheese casserole to take home. Yummmmm. The brisket went over well. The latkes were wonderful. I had three. I'm a pig. Sue me. *grin*

It was a wonderful evening. Much music and singing and drumming. And friends. Most importantly, friends and family. :-)

I got home about 9:30 and put stuff away and then went for a 45 minute walk. I've discovered that the garage is the best place for walking because I can sing with the CD which always makes it more fun. I don't have to worry about disturbing my fellow inmates. :-) So I did a 45 minute one. ( I figure if Northbard can write about his exercise and stuff.. so can I. I also discovered that walking up the back ramp and walking down backwards is a marvellous exercise for my lower legs. It's easier than stairs cause it doesn't affect the hip joints as badly.
I weighed myself this am and I'm back down to 200. I put on about 10 pounds once I started cooking for myself. They are now gone, thank you very much. *grin*

Tomorrow am Cynthia will pick me up and Mark will meet us at the Welfare office. time for my meeting. It should go fine. I should also get the paperwork from the Quebec Pension offices to fill in to apply for Permanent Disability. Hopefully this won't be the same sort of fight I had for the Handicapped tag.

That's it. Time for a cup of green tea with brown rice and then a good read while I do my exercises. Happy sigh.

Oh...and I may be able to stay in Montreal for our event. Karen is going to try to arrange a dedicated work force to set me up and pack me up and she'll keep an eye for me in case I needs help. So...if it can be done, then I won't get to TO until Pesach time. But then I may go to Ealdormere's Coronation the following weekend. The first seder is the 19th of April and Coronation is the following weekend. I can stay the week in TO and environs.

The date of the first seder coincides, unfortunately, with Balfar's Challenge dammit. I don't think I can make it from Ct. to TO for 7-pm which is about the time I tend to be done with packup in CT. Sigh. Ah well. :-(
